CONFIGURE NETWORK SERVICES

1. What is an IP Address?

-An IP address is a unique numerical label assigned to every device connected to a network, allowing them to communicate with each other.

2. What is the difference between Static and Dynamic IP address?

-A static IP address remains constant, while a dynamic IP address changes periodically, typically assigned by a network's DHCP server.

 3. What is IPCONFIG command?

- IPCONFIG is a command-line utility used to view and manage network settings on a Windows computer, including IP addresses, subnet masks, and default gateways.

 4. What is DNS?

- DNS (Domain Name System) translates human-readable domain names (like google.com) into numerical IP addresses that computers use to communicate.

 5. What is a wireless network?

-A wireless network uses radio waves to connect devices without physical cables, enabling communication over a broader area.

6. What is a Default Gateway?

-A default gateway acts as a router, directing network traffic to the internet or other networks when the destination is unknown.

7. What should be the preferred DNS of the Client Computer?

- The preferred DNS for a client computer should be a reliable and fast DNS server, potentially a public DNS like Google DNS or Cloudflare DNS, or the ISP's DNS server.

 8. What should be the preferred DNS of the Server Computer?

- The preferred DNS for a server computer should be a reliable and authoritative DNS server, often its own internal DNS server or a dedicated DNS service provider.

9. How to configure the server computer?

- Configuring a server computer involves installing and configuring necessary services, setting up network settings, managing users and permissions, and ensuring security measures are in place.
