REFLECTION ON CREATING GROUP POLICY
Reflecting on my recent experience creating group policies in Windows Server 2008 R2, I found it to be a valuable learning opportunity. Understanding how GPOs interact within Active Directory helped me see their impact on user and computer settings across the network.
I faced some challenges, especially when policies didn't apply as expected, which taught me the importance of testing and clear communication with my team. Exploring the settings in the Group Policy Management Console was eye-opening, revealing how we can enhance user productivity and strengthen security.
That's all for our reflection, Thanks!
Question
How do you know that you already create group policy?
- To check if you've created a Group Policy Object (GPO), open the Group Policy Management Console by pressing Windows + R, typing gpmc.msc, and hitting Enter. Navigate to your domain and look under "Group Policy Objects" for a list of existing GPOs. If you see the one you created right-click it to view or edit. You can also use PowerShell with the command Get-GPO -All to see all GPOs in your domain.
